While I can't see myself in a nudist colony, I recognize that there are many people who have gone to them, convinced they will be embarrassed and uncomfortable, who find that they love it and become devotees of the experience and go back to vacation time after time.
The Germans have many people who love to be nude and there are many colonies in Germany but it is cold at this time of year. Someone planned a great trip for later in 2008 to take a plane to somewhere in the Baltic area. I'm not planning to sign on for it, though I don't doubt the flight is being eagerly awaited by many.
