NOT ALL FOOD CAN BE ORGANIC FOR EVERYONE TODAY

Generations ago all people ate organically.  Many got sick and died.  Today, the question is being asked is organic food really better for you? No one can really answer unless they were cognizant of exactly what the alternative to it a person was eating. Books are being written to warn people not to eat wheat because it is irradiated and genetically altered.  I'm told to lose tummy fat you need to add coconut oil (more fat) to your diet).  I hear people say , "But it is natural!"  So what, natural things are all made up of chemicals.

There is no way to do anything but take issue with the fact that there was a time we could eat raw effs.  We can no longer do that since the conglomerates started raising chickens and feeding them diets they had never had before, in very crowded conditions with no healthy exercise.Rich people can buy better food because they can afford it.  Poor people can not.  When you hear statistics, does it distinguish how many rich people dies as compared to how many poor?  I've never seen that as a criteria in any protocol.

Baylen Linnekin: Baylen J. Linnekin, a lawyer, is executive director of Keep Food Legal, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit that advocates in favor of food freedom—the right to grow, raise, produce, buy, sell, share, cook, eat, and drink the foods of our own choosing.  He wrote an article in Reason Magazine on whether organic food is a waste of money. people  choose to eat without consideration to what they eat and how it will metabolize, nourish them, or taste good but be less than healthful for them, it simply reflects that people should learn to listen to their own bodies.  We were all taught that Eskimos could eat Whale blubber but I certainly could not, having been brought up on a Mediterranean diet.

We've been told to cut down on eggs by our heart doctors and to eat more eggs by our ophthalmologists.  We were told for years to eat oleo margarine instead of butter and today we are told oleo is worse than eating plastic.  If people blindly follow the snake oil salesmen they may not get to where they want to be.  This is a world where people must make their own choices and, in order to do that, they must be cautious, think things through, and if they can't do that they should talk to a nutritionist.  Like everything else, you can't be expert in everything but there are people out there who truly are and they are not the people who write fad diets that are supposed to work for everyone.  I repeat:P  One size does not fit all!

MORE FIGHTS OVER RELIGIOUS TURF

There is discord over the Democrats language in the current policy statement. Convention leaders were forced to call voice vote three times to declare the city to be Israel's capital in party platform. It was a case of 'if at first you don't succeed, keep trying until you do regardless of the issues being brought up,

Also restored was wording mentioning God: Democrats changed the platform language to say government should help people "make the most of their God-given potential". When is the Constitution going to be followed and separate church from state.  If I have potential, I would say it came from my genes and no one can prove God had anything to do with that.

BEFORE
A US military judge has ordered the 2009 Fort Hood shooting suspect, Army Major Nidal Hasan, to shave off his beard or be "forcibly shaved."

He apparently grew the bad after he went to prison  The custom of wearing hair on one's fact must have started when men were too lazy to shave it off with the primitive methods available at the time.

AFTER
If religion is truly a matter of what one holds inside as 'faith' how can this be justified that our rules should be broken to accommodate a whim which should not actually change one's faith.  Mujslim ladies have asked to have their driver's license picture  with a burka (BURKINA) on.  A wise judge forbid that one  It doesn't make sense when the purpose of a picture is for identification to have you face covered and indistinguishable. There are some things, even in religions, that must adapt to US requirements.

ROBOT CALL FOR CAMPAIGNING INVADE YOUR PRIVACY

Yesterday,, before the primary, the phone rang every few minutes throughout the day.  Finally, in the evening I was so fed up, when the caller asked to speak to me by my first name, I asked if this was a political call.  There was hesitation on the other end.  I said if it is just tell me for whom you are calling and I'll make sure not to vote for that person as I am sick and tired of the repeated intrusion into my life with robot calls for the same person.  She thanked me, wished me a good evening and quickly got off, careful not to tell me for whom she was calling.

Why do people think one should vote for 'my friend' .  I know there have to be grassroots organizations but they should be helpful, not just a fast, canned voice on the phone.  The fliers that are sent out will only tell the best.  No closet skeletons ever appear on those things left on the door.  I must say how I was impressed with one candidate who made it door to door, shaking hands firmly, smiling, and answering every question asked with no hesitation.  Since that candidate did not drown me in robot calls, I was grateful.  I love advances in technology but I also believe they should be used with discretion and some awareness of the reception they are likely to receive on the other end.  Telemarketers can be put on a DO NOT CALL list but robots cannot and, even if they could, to whom do you report it?  .The ladies who keep calling about credit cards, if you lasted to the end of the message, say press one if you do not want to be contacted again.  It doesn't work...it is like the salt machine in the ocean.  It is never turned off.

After a while I tried this, "Thank you, I already support your candidate, can you stop the  calls?"  Apparently  robots are disinterested.  I can think of no reason why I should be interested in their call if my response is not solicited, nor my privacy of home respected..

THE INSPIRATIONAL SPEECHES OF DNC 2012

Last night we saw and heard a series of convention speeches that was so strikingly substantive that Republicans should have been shamed.  However, they are too far in denial and clueless to which they were too clueless and insulated from truth to experience.  Each DNC  speaker had left viewers with tears, thoroughly moved by the sincerity in the goal of cooperation and togetherness as a country we must have to go forward.  The Republicans have attempted to divide and conquer, achieving only to draw our countrymen closer together.  The convention and the speeches given offer hope once again.  People know there is strength in unity..

Speakers stayed on the reality track and didn't need fact checkers to disprove any of the truths spoken about.  With all the video replays shown by the talking heads of both sides, what has been said is not easily forgotten by the public at large. If it was forgotten, they were constantly reminded by the video replays.

If the Republicans can be prevented from cheating and lying our country's future may have a chance to become what it was in its glory.,

CONTRAST BETWEEN DNC AND RNC CANNOT FAIL TO BE OBSERVED

The fist night of the DNC was a power house. If ebe4r there was a speech given from the heart that touched the hearts of thousands, Michelle Obama's speaking tonight is it.  The BBC was very quick to summarize an impressions.  They spoke of her speech as impassioned.  It certainly was.  To read their coverage, click here.

The cameras paned the audience and there was no sign of boredom.  There many tears of empathy and identification with all that she spoke, apparently, since she talked of coming up the hard way playing fair and working hard.  She actually epitomized the American Dream...work hard, play by the rules, hurt no one, help  those in need, and do not make money your God.  She was far more than a wife on that stage.  She was herself, impassioned for our country and for her husband who, she recognizes, this country needs to continue to represent the people who need a better chance for life as we should have it here for everyone..

Interestingly, for all the jobs she has, she still said the title she cares for the most is Mom in Chief.

The RNC was  like a piano where those who had practiced played the right notess and those who didn't stumble, one of the players were expected to do much but not make too many klinkers. The DNC had substance from people who knew what they were talking about, spoke truth, and gave hope to the majority  (the middle class() again.

BLAND VS SPICY DESCRIBES THE TWO DOCUMENTARIES ON ROMNEY THEN OBAMA

The video on Romney, the man and candidate for the US President, put together by Chuck Todd, is not unlike unflavored gelatin, limp, tasteless, lacking disinfection. The airing of Obama was a gourmet meal full of excitement, culinary results, and people drooling with anticipation.  Searching to hear some substance, about Romney, it would seem that he is an empty suit with a family who have benefited from all that money can buy.  It is like watching a 1950s sitcom of the perfect American family, not the politics required for today.  The title is : The Making of An American President.  Unfortunately they didn't bake him long enough nor put all the ingredients into the making.

Chris Matthews had a special on MSNBC called Making History in which he did a magnificent hob in relating the salient history necessary to understand President Obama  It might be ON DEMAND though I haven't checked it out as it seemed too soon to get the whole presentation.

Ken Shepherd of News Busters wrote a rather scathing piece about it.  Mr. Matthews presented the long road to racial equality in the United States as necessary to forge a foundation for Obama's entry into politics. While I accept the fight for American Blacks to get into politics, I think that Obama cannot be seen neither black nor white (other than by those who are racially prejudiced and see him as a black, forgetting he is as much white as he is black.P

It seems that everyone who comments on these  two documentaries have their peeves but, if viewed as to what it says of the substance of each man, rather other aspects, it is hard to fill the empty Romney suit.

IT'S LABOR DAY

Ironically, Labor Day is not a day to labor but, just the opposite, a day to relax.  I do as I am told.  (I looked around but the sky didn't fall with that statement)  I hope you are doing the same.  Look again tomorrow.

WILL SOMEONE LIST THE EXMPLES OF PRESIDENTIAL JUDGMENT FROM ROMNEY...I DON'T SEE THEM.

I've been waiting to hear a good decision made by Romney.  He would have let Detroit auto manufacturing go bankrupt; he did not create jobs while Governor of Massachusetts or in the US while at Bain, having most jobs outsourced.  He may be Mormon but he sounds like the Jehovah's Witness door to door door knockers who tell us we must have Faith in their beliefs and in a God some of us do not believe in.

He does not believe government is necessary to the many things for which it has served and he would keep us ion wars. Written by  and   on August 31st  the New York Times had an article describing that it was Romney who, himself, decided he wanted Clint Eastwood  during the Convention.  Once again, his judgment does not prove itself as being trustworthy.  He does not seen the relevance that government has for all the people, even for his own Bain Capital.  He does not have enough self to stick by principles for long.  So far he asks those he considers middle class if they are better off after four years of Barack Obama as President with no consideration of  the fantastic amount our President was able to achieve with all the attempts to drive him to be a one-term President, nor offer any attempt to offer solutions ...only empty promises.  As I say, when I converse with the Jehovah's Witness folks and ask questions to help me understand why they believe if there is no explanation for events, it then has to be supernatural and a miracle.  If that were true, then miracles become explainable by science and physics most often, eventually.  Does that still explain the action as a 'miracle?'.

The New York Times wrote:  " For all the finger-pointing about Clint Eastwood’s rambling conversation with an empty chair on Thursday night, the most bizarre, head-scratching 12 minutes in recent political convention history were set in motion by Mitt Romney himself and made possible by his aides, who had shrouded the actor’s appearance in secrecy."

Google defines:

judg·ment/ˈjəjmənt/

Noun:
  1. The ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions.
  2. An opinion or conclusion.
Romney's examples of his good judgment must be filed with his Massachusetts job creation records which showed 47th out of the 50 states.
