NORWAY TERRORIZED

Reflecting the helplessness of people- Reuters

From the front page of Al Jazeera:  "Hussein Kazemi, a 19-year-old asylum-seeker from Afghanistan, sought safe harbor in Norway two years ago. Now, he is one of dozens still hospitalised after Friday's gun rampage. Shot four times, he has bullet wounds in both legs and an arm.

Kazemi told the AP news agency that shooting began soon after he finished playing a football game featuring a veritable United Nations of young Labour party activists from Afghanistan, Georgia, the Kurdish regions of Turkey and Iraq, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Lebanon and other countries.

 I experienced many dangers in Afghanistan. But this is the worst experience I will ever have in my life ... I have experienced much good in Norway, so much good ... You have only one life and you must take the good with the bad ... There will always be both ... In a dangerous place you always have a chance to live, and in a safe place you always have a chance of being killed. It's destiny and you cannot avoid it.".

The above, written in a live blog, shows there is no totally safe place (nor has there ever been.)  We are all subject to random acts of evil, Nature, birth and death. Life is a game of chance.  The odds can go up a bit with caution and preparation.  However, today there are those who want to die but are not allowed to do so and those who want to live who die for no positive reason.  Apparently it takes many decades to move the ignorance that is fostered by those who think whatever media and religious con artists want them to think.
