Ir is astounding to hear the TeaPartiers demanding that they will not compromise on any of the non-budgetary additions they have attached to the budget bill put up for ballot. While their goals sound quite reasonable on paper as seen on the tea Party Nation (TPN) site there is nothing realistic about their attempt for a solution to achieve tham.
I can't imagine how the Republicans were able to force the Democrats to allow a continuation of tax cuts for the rich. Since then, the Republicans believe they can shut the government down and blame it on Obama.
As old as I am, I have never seen as ignorant a group of representatives elected. This group came in under lies, promising to lower the budget by 100 billion dollars with absolutely no sense of what that would do to middle class and the total economy recovery. They are certainly marching to a different drummer that an ethical or moral one with any compassion for the less fortunate. I wish I could see that they are anything less than ignorant or evil, influenced by powers invisible to the population at large.
The next few days will see if we are thrown into crisis or whether the Senate and the President have the power to control this unfeeling, runaway group of legislators.
