BOEHNER'S BONER

Boehner's Bill is passed in the House 218 to 210.  Boehner's Republicans in their lack of political maturity pass a bill they know will not pass in the Senate and would be vetoed by the office of the President.  Read more.

The Republicans are planning to filibuster, the only vehicle that could break the stalemate.  McConnell is game playing to stall and.the result will be a disaster to the credit reputation of this country.  Remembering Osama bin Laden's promise to break the economy of the United States,   Whether he is behind it posthumously through followers or whether during the Bush years infiltrators to our Democracy functioning hi-jacked the power (while Bush wasted time trying to hear what God was telling him instead of paying attention to the country.).

Boehner is a perfect example of the politician who is analogous to the.actress who slept her way to a starring role.  She did not win an Oscar and lost money for the Producers, who 'got what they paid for'.  Someone should hand him the book: The Peter Principle.

IS SALISHAN : RAPING THE SOCIAL SECURITY BUDGET FOR WELFARE?

 When I first saw this YouTube I was outraged at where I thought my social security dollars were being spent.  Approved and started during the Bush Presidency, we are now being told that 225 million dollars is being spent (out of the Social Security Budget) to finance a rebuild on what was property on which  low income housing, post WWII, was torn down.

To see this film which was later debunked, if true, would have raised every American's hackles in middle class, unemployed, struggling to educate their children, pay their housing, living expenses and stay ahead of their debts homes..  Picked up and widely circulated by those who, like much of today's media, do not check their sources, I found another example of its circulation.  Click here.
If you scroll down, you will see that even Charles Krauthammer seems to have been taken in.  I've never terribly respected him and do so less now if he actually wrote an article in that magazine. 

I decided to check the ABOUT on the site.  This is what it says:

MICELELE BACHMANN: IS SHE A STEPFORD WIFE?

As I have watched Bachmann speak, her face is quite expressionless and her tone often a monotone.  After listening to her husband (a psychologist on prejudicial  steroids) speak, all I can picture are the Stepford Wives.

Her speeches, as they are repeated by the media over and over, sound so robotic.  I itch to remove her batteries or de-mesmerize her.  She says the same things, lies, and hypocrisies and contradictions over and over.

The very thought that she might be President of anything makes me shudder.  I shudder worse when I think there are others who think as she does.  Our world was a far better place when people were more challenging of the people they elected.

I reiterate what I have often said, "All candidates ought to be given a written test for their competency to serve as Legislators and especially as President.  Bachmann has verbally flunked the test in economics, Constitutional law, foreign policy, biology, and humanity.  Goddess help us!.

TALKING HEADS ON MEDIA TELLING WHAT OBAMA 'SHOULD HAVE DONE'.

Douglas Kellogg write for The Taxpayer's Union:  He writes:  "
What would have been a tough fight anyway, as the newly elected House Republican majority tried to fulfill promises to the electorate on containing spending, was turned into a circus, as much of the media jumped into the ring clamoring for tax increases in the name of “balance.”
Let us remember that the initial plan from Treasury and the White House was: raise the debt ceiling, period. There were no sweeping blueprints to address our budget problems coming from the President. In fact, as an NTU Foundation analysis showed, the President’s budget proposal would keep the red ink flowing.".

Bill Maher, who is good at thinking out of the box and  an  entertainer, was on MSNBC, on the Lawrence O'Donnell Show.  His comment about what Obama had to say, 'i was disappointed in Obama's speech.'  This was followed by  what he would have done if he was Obama, the 'He should have....'

If there are so many experts about, how did we end up with so many ignorant people in the House of Representatives?   I call them ignorant because they put politics before the welfare of their fellow Americans.  It makes me wonder how many will be one term Reps.  Actually they all should never be re-elected.  They all add to the voices of what Obama should be doing but they were not elected to the office of the Presidency.

When will people let the man do his job.  I have resigned myself that it will not happen until enough Republican politicians lose their seats and realize that not only are they put there because the people believe in them, but they get very angry and do not let them stay when they learn their campaign speeches were nothing but lies.    Meanwhile, while they are in Washington collecting benefits paid for by the very people whom they have abandoned in their greed to push their own agenda, not that of their constituents..

OBAMA=SENSE; BOEHNER=NONSENSE

Monday evening Obama gave a frank and frightening picture of the attempts to start a way to balance the budget eventually and to spread responsibility evenly.  For his speech, click here.
As impassioned as Obama ever seems to get with his gentle, tactful appeals, he laid all the political cards on the table and a clear picture of what we have to do to keep our country working for us and not against us....that is we, the middle class, the heart of America.

House Speaker Boehner distorted the entire issue by claiming that Obama just wants a blank check.  He gave a speech with untruths in it (claiming bipartisanship when there were 5 Democrats who voted with 240 Republicans.  It would be very hard not to speculate that the Republicans are willing to let the majority of Americans suffer out of their attempt to avenge themselves for Obama having won the Presidency.  For Boehner's speech, click here.

It was difficult for me to hear him say to encourage his plan He claimed that Obama was asking for the largest increase in the debt ceiling after the biggest spending binge in history..  When will the Republicans pull their heads out of the GW Bush/Cheney sand and see that they came into office with a balanced budget and left with this enormous debt, joblessness, and pledging themselves to those outside government and against what they had promised voters so that they will not raise taxes to the previous level for those in the top 1% of the country and record profit making corporations with all sorts of tax loopholes.

Who, do you think, is speaking most truthfully?  If you say 'Boehner' you deserve the economic disaster you will get, but do you really have to drag the rest of us with you?

NORWAY TERRORIZED

Reflecting the helplessness of people- Reuters

From the front page of Al Jazeera:  "Hussein Kazemi, a 19-year-old asylum-seeker from Afghanistan, sought safe harbor in Norway two years ago. Now, he is one of dozens still hospitalised after Friday's gun rampage. Shot four times, he has bullet wounds in both legs and an arm.

Kazemi told the AP news agency that shooting began soon after he finished playing a football game featuring a veritable United Nations of young Labour party activists from Afghanistan, Georgia, the Kurdish regions of Turkey and Iraq, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Lebanon and other countries.

 I experienced many dangers in Afghanistan. But this is the worst experience I will ever have in my life ... I have experienced much good in Norway, so much good ... You have only one life and you must take the good with the bad ... There will always be both ... In a dangerous place you always have a chance to live, and in a safe place you always have a chance of being killed. It's destiny and you cannot avoid it.".

The above, written in a live blog, shows there is no totally safe place (nor has there ever been.)  We are all subject to random acts of evil, Nature, birth and death. Life is a game of chance.  The odds can go up a bit with caution and preparation.  However, today there are those who want to die but are not allowed to do so and those who want to live who die for no positive reason.  Apparently it takes many decades to move the ignorance that is fostered by those who think whatever media and religious con artists want them to think.

DADT: DON'T ASK; DON'T TELL REPEALED

President Barack has announced the ban on openly gay people serving in US military is to end on September 20.  Early in the Iraq war there were wonderful American soldiers who could translate but were not allowed to do so as they were gay.  The American people and the military suffered the loss without the needed translators because of some people's prejudices.  It is a shame that people ignorant of Nature and the human body are allowed to do such damage to so many lives by that ignorance.

Well, at last, that one wrong has been righted.  There are many more with which being dealt with has taken a back seat because of the political game playing in a Congress who thought they were elected to serve themselves rather than the majority of the people in our country.

This took a long time to come about with a very sad history to be written about those years of waiting by many whose military careers were destroyed by the delay.  Nevertheless, let us not think about the past ignorance and cheer the awakening of understanding, acceptance of Nature's differences,  and tolerance finding its way back to our legislators at long last.
