THERE WILL ALWAYS BE GREATER STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

The protests are taking on more strength as people keep coming to add to their numbers.  Unlike the anti-Vietnam War protests, these are not only young people who don't want to be drafted into that senseless war, primarily.  They seem to be all ages and from all walks of life, though admittedly there are more of  the younger generation who can brave the discomfort and harsh conditions.

The wold is watching us as we watched all the Middle East and Asian protests.  Caroline Hepker of the BBC News writes:  "Is America taking a leaf from the European protest manual?"  To read her article, click here.

ACCUSERS, SLIPPERY SLOPERS, AND FEARMONGERS

Despite Mr. Cain's accusation that he has no proof but 'knows' that it is a plan of Obama.  So far I have not seen a single Republican candidate who claims to have talked with many of the protesters and is willing to listen to their issues.  The group calls itself the 99%ers,  1% holds 40% of the country's wealth.

It is not surprising that one might hear anyone protesting say that it is time for them to have a voice. All they ask is for fairness; a concept the Republicans in the House seem not to understand.  These Representatives have somehow behaved as though they have been appointed to a level of deity.  They have forgotten that they took and oath to represent the people and country first.

An article in BBC News writes:  "The Stop the Machine rally joined a like-minded protest, Occupy DC, whose members have been camping since 1 October in a square nearby the White House and lobbying firms."  It is lovely to watch as kindred soul who felt disparate interests find they are connected philosophically.  That is how movements get started.  goals become like magnets.  Each new person joining behaves like a magnet as well and, eventually, very large groups ar formed under a single cause.  While there are many small groups over the entire country,  Their similar valence will connect them in time.  We now have the technology, literally in hand, for them to unite without moving from their spaces.

The greedy ones who thought they held the power to make peons of the 99%; Cain and his followers who seem to believe that anyone who isn't working isn't trying hard enough; those who cannot do simple math such as counting the number of jobs available and the greater number of people in need of them; .do not deserve to be considered as competent to hold the Office of President of the United States.

Yes, children, anyone can grow up and become President but only if they are smart enough and trained well enough.  Not everyone is and fewer will be unless something is done to raise the level of education for our children.

...AND IT IS NONE TOO SOON

The media has not done its homework.  They do not have any idea just who is protesting and why.  Ed Schultz of MSNBC has been doing a pretty good job being in the thick of it, but even he lacks the total oversight which is effecting so many sites.

These protests seem to be coming as a surprise to many.  It is about time that people learn that the Constitution of our land does not make a President able to work miracles when he has a Congress whose sole goal is to make him fail and be a one-term President.  It stand to reason, for anyone who still has some, that people will eventually realize that the country belongs to all of us and we all need to pitch in where it counts and where we might finally be heard rather than being censored by the 'fair and balanced' media outlets.

The slogans of  Occupy Wall Street and Take the Bull by the Horns is beginning to resonate in many sites as the middle class is finally uniting rather than splitting off into political groups, their own depression and feeling suppressed and alone, and the fear that they really have no voice.  But we have learned that there is strength in numbers and that is just what is coming forth...great numbers of people who are tired of the Republican lies and obstructionism and the Democrats not being able to fight them.

The RSN (Reader Supported News) has an interesting article anyone interested in this process should read.  Click here.

CLASS WARFARE?

Tonight, Ed Schultz quoted Mitt Romney as saying the Wall St. protests are an example of class warfare.  I would ask, "Warfare?  Where is the violence?"  This is an example of frustrated people in pre-warfare.  Fox describes them as against capitalism rather than they are against economic equality.

Bernie Sanders believes that class warfare is better defined by what the Republicans are currently doing..All their efforts are aimed at further crippling the middle class.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and New York City officials sued a major Wall Street bank 10/4/11, claiming the bank scammed its customers by giving worse-than-promised exchange rates on foreign currency.  Can this be the first draining teaspoonful from the repressive ocean drowning the middle class?  Read more on this.

from the Global Realm
Another interesting event is written about on the Global Realm, 9/8/11 by David McGraw. "Full-Blown Civil War Erupts On Wall Street
As Reality Finally Hits The Financial Elite, They Start Turning On Each Other"
"Finally, after trillions in fraudulent activity, trillions in bailouts, trillions in printed money, billions in political bribing and billions in bonuses, the criminal cartel members on Wall Street are beginning to get what they deserve. As the Eurozone is coming apart at the seams and as the US economy grinds to a halt, the financial elite are starting to turn on each other. The lawsuits are piling up fast."

CHENEY CHUTZPAH: DEMAND FOR APOLOGY FROM OTHERS

The Cheneys, father and daughter, are notorious for asking from others that which they most usually owe to others and never give, an apology.  The fact that there is never an apology for all the deaths that can be set at Dick Cheney's door for the Iraq war, his own private game in which he made money illegally (if one holds him responsible for the Halliburton no-bid contract and Blackwater)., for torture practices, and  for the rage he raised in so many towards America.

Most recently, they demanded an apology from Obama for rebuking the torture policy of the Bush administration.  This week, on CNN’s State of the Union, Vice President Dick Cheney firmly agreed with host, Candy Crowley, that Obama has waged a successful war on terror and that he has secured more successes than the Bush administration. But Cheney slammed Obama for failing to call his anti-terror efforts “what it is,” a “war on terror.”

McCain (on CNN) dismissed the thought!   "He dismissed the idea that the Bush administration deserves any apology after having used those methods:
MCCAIN: The vote was 90 to 6 in the United States Senate to prohibit cruel and inhumane mistreatment — this amendment, a piece of legislation that I was a sponsor of. The Senate has spoken, the American people have spoken, people of the world have spoken. Torturing people in violation of international agreements such as the Geneva Conventions is prohibited and frankly very harmful to the image of the United States of America."
The American people, all who served in the Iraq war and were maimed, killed, or are now back home with shattered lives, no jobs, and little to show for their service are the ones owed the apology..  The American people who have to live with the results of the hate earned from the rest of the world that believes in the Geneva Convention and believed that America has respect for it, also.

KEN BURNS: PROHIBITION

Tonight I watched the first installment of the new documentary Prohibition, beautifully done as all of his documentaries have been.  While I was watching it, I thought how timely it is.  Everything he has said about the history and repeal of alcohol should be applied to dealing with the drug problem, specifically marijuana..

The government is losing tax money,  that is money going to drug dealers and cartels. As with all illegal dealings, those who run them do it with violence and coercion and have no regulation.  While many in our enforcement employees are not without shameful and brutal actions at times, they do not quite come up to the callousness of the illegals.

Since there was never a Constitutional amendment to make drugs illegal, we need only rewrite the law to make selling of, at the very least marijuana as legal, tax it, regulate growers thus curtailing the need for importing it,  It would be likely that  those who are currently in control will not give up easily; those who are being bribed will lose a source of income with resistance, and new people will have jobs and start making money, feeding the economy rather than the drug lords.

It could happen easily if people were really thinking of their country and not their own fear of drugs.  Perhaps people will see that the evil is not in the smoking of marijuana but in those who secretly make a profit as long as it is illegal.

HOW LONG MUST PEOPLE WAIT TO BE HEARD?

Protests in Boston. They have started peacefully but the targets, as in Boston, BOA (Bank of America, not for America;) the bank stays silent other than to get the police involved. It would seem  that the reason for the protests is being ignored as people are dragged off by the police.

It is not rocket science folks.  When people are forced to impotence, they will begin to form groups and band together against the common enemy.  The groups formed can be peaceful protests, marches, or militia confrontations.  Violence is not the only response to the futility of joblessness, hunger, being forced to beg for support, lack of medical care, and all the other evils being foisted on us as a result of the ignorance in the House and Senate and administration prior to the year 2000 and, instead of facing the reality of spending like drunken sailors, have put the country on the verge of a collapsed economy and a ready to rise up and fight populace.

People are advised if they don't like things as they are, vote against the people who are causing it.  If one could even trust fair practice in voting, it still wouldn't be enough voice.  Bush left a widely divided country and there is so much greed and corruption and false beliefs foisted on the public as truths, that there is little trust left anywhere, no longer even in churches.Angry people have reached a critical mass.  Throwing people in jail for expressing themselves is certainly no democratic solution.

Instead of adding alcohol to the fertilized ova as in Brave New World, the forces out to take control over the country are killing education.  We need more than crop pickers, Merry Maids, and landscapers.  Those with lots of money will always have jobs at minimum wage.  Lest we forget, however, they only represent the top 1% of our population.  Too many do not have a lawn and garden for which to hire a landscaper to care for...after, all, when you are reduced to living in your car you only need to find a free place to .keep yourself clean and one that flushes.

There are well over 357 articles matching the subject on Google.  Read all about it before it gets further out of hand and the media puts even more of a shush on it.
