WILL THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTIVE CAVALRY REACH THE DROPPED VOTERS IN TIME?

The media said tonight that 70% of presidential votes come from 10 states.  It should come as no surprise that these are the states where the Republican voter laws have been newly changed to make it impossible for many legal voters to be be registered.

Rachel Maddow does a wonderful job of discussing this problem.  To view this clip, click here.

The Brennan Center for Justice (New York University School of Law) has a site on voting rights and elections.  It starts off with a sentence: "Voting is the heart of democracy "  That sentence alone tells us at what peril our country and its democracy stands.  It is being threatened by a few who choose to stay in the background and remain nameless now that they can move with anonymity and no transparency of the money they wield. Do follow the link if you have not been following this major problem in our democracy.

Ed Schultz stated last evening that there are only 16 billionaires who are behind all the major donations to the Republican campaigns.

We do not need another round of the handlers of G.W. Bush pulling Mitt Romney's strings as it is clear that they intend to do.  Grover Norquist made that very clear when he said all they need in for the President to be able to sign his name.  Oh really?  Can we stand for this blatant bragging of the cancer that has invaded or system of democracy that has worked well for so many years?

...AND IT IS NONE TOO SOON

The media has not done its homework.  They do not have any idea just who is protesting and why.  Ed Schultz of MSNBC has been doing a pretty good job being in the thick of it, but even he lacks the total oversight which is effecting so many sites.

These protests seem to be coming as a surprise to many.  It is about time that people learn that the Constitution of our land does not make a President able to work miracles when he has a Congress whose sole goal is to make him fail and be a one-term President.  It stand to reason, for anyone who still has some, that people will eventually realize that the country belongs to all of us and we all need to pitch in where it counts and where we might finally be heard rather than being censored by the 'fair and balanced' media outlets.

The slogans of  Occupy Wall Street and Take the Bull by the Horns is beginning to resonate in many sites as the middle class is finally uniting rather than splitting off into political groups, their own depression and feeling suppressed and alone, and the fear that they really have no voice.  But we have learned that there is strength in numbers and that is just what is coming forth...great numbers of people who are tired of the Republican lies and obstructionism and the Democrats not being able to fight them.

The RSN (Reader Supported News) has an interesting article anyone interested in this process should read.  Click here.

HOW LONG WILL RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS BE ALLOWED TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR ALL OF US?

Our American society has become a hostile place for the average American.  Pro-Life is a euphemism which really means, "Ladies, we will control your uterus and all the rest of your life, other than the health and education of the children we force you to bring into the world by denying abortion.

Andrea Grimes has written a touching article about her need for the services of Planned Parenthood.    She needs regular pap smears to keep tabs on her high risk HPV (Human papillomavirus)  Human papillomavirus (pap-ah-LO-mah-VYE-rus) (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted virus in the United States. At least 50% of sexually active people will have genital HPV at some time in their lives.  -report from CDC.

The Holier-Than-Thou Republicans are now blatantly lying to the public with facts and statistics, possibly unaware of the technology era in which we live and how quickly their facts can be checked.  Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart and other late night comedians have been having a field day with Sen Kyl's faux pas (if one is putting it kindly), or out and out lie if one is being realistic.  Be sure to watch the clip of the Daily Show and Jon Stewart's comments on it.

Lastly,  Ed Schultz featured the Kyl blooper on his segment, Psycho Talk.  Click here.

YES, WORDS DO HAVE IMPACT AND INFLUENCE

Listening to legislators on the Right calling Obama a Socialist certainly points to their own ignorance, but it also gets to be believed by many when they hear it over and over again. The worst of them were elected and must be endured until the next election cycle.  Not so with those on media.  They have contracts.  I do not watch Fox News because of the hateful rhetoric and lies.  I looked forward to Keith Olbermann because, while he didn't mince words on his opinion...it was clear when he gave opinions but I was not aware that anyone ever accused him of lying.  If Olbermann was 'freed of his contract' because of his Liberal stance, MSNBC is ignorant of the importance his thinking is to so many of us.  Their popularity will fade as someone as forceful as Coombs will no doubt replace him.

We will be left with Chris Matthews who never lets his interviewees finish a thought as they attempt to answer his questions.  Ed Schultz is good, as is Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell. However, it seems the bosses want to have a B-flat media outlet.  It will cater to a B-flat audience.  I can only hope that people out there will have recognized the talent MSNBC had and tossed aside.  It will be like finding a treasure at a yard sale.Shame on MSNBC executives.  They are as knowledgeable about their viewers as Republicans are about the wishes of the 'American people'.
