When are people going to recognize that the Republican House of Representatives and Congress are sabotaging the United States. I listened to them impeach President Clinton who was good for the country but had a personal moral failure that did not interfere with his governance.
What I would like to see is the power behind them that has them terrified to do their job properly. Perhaps I should ask for whom they are working since it is clear they are not working for their constituents. It was clear a couple of years ago that Governor Walker is working for the Koch brothers. Are the rest of the evil governors who are trying to limit voting in their states and are so misogynistic also working for the Koch's?
What is happening with the Grover Norquist pledge? Wasn't that . in essence, 'vote no on tax raises and we will help you get re-elected'? For whom else are they allowing the unemployed and the hungry suffer?
The ethics violations have run rampart.
John Brabender, a Republican strategist, spoke about many of the things wrong with the Republican party at present. He spoke the truth but it is meaningless. Unless there is some cohesiveness between the former conservative Republicans and the ultra conservative Teapartiers, they will continue to drive voters away. While they argue about the party, those governors within the party are destroying their states. If
continue to get their way, lying and sabotaging democracy, we will be back at square one...a failing country on the verge of a revolution.
Rachel Maddow described the Sequestration threat like wearing a meat hat and walking into a lion's den.; I thought it a wonderful analogy but it fails to move the Republicans even though some of their own are calling them the 'stupid; party.

Many of these posts excoriate the Republicans for lying. That is understandable, none of us wants to be lied to. But shouldn't we also object to the lies of the democrats as well? In the aftermath of the leaked drone memo, it is quite apparent that our president is not being honest about the U.S. drone program and his secret "kill list".
President Obama has repeated assured us that his team thoroughly investigate each suspect before placing them on the drone strike list. When Obama was first asked about the killing of American citizen Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, he said that Abdulrahman was in his 20's. Later, the New York Times found his birth certificate: Abdulrahman was 16 years old when he was killed. Now how thorough could this investigation be if they didn't even determine whether they were executing a minor?
In this year's State of the Union, President Obama said that "We have kept Congress fully informed of our efforts" on counterterrorism. If only his actions matched his words: even members of his own party, such as Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Rep. Peter Welch of Vermont, complain that the administration has kept them out of the loop.
For a while, it seemed that only the libertarians were concerned about this issue. But recently, leading liberal commentators have rightly challenged Obama to actually practice the transparency that he preaches. Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks has this critique of the recent Presidential Hangout:

Rachel Maddow objects to the shoddy legal justification for the drone strikes:

On "The Daily Show", Jon Stewart rips Obama's non-transparency on drones:

The Obama drone program, however, has won him a friend on the other side:
