CLASS WARFARE? WHO ARE THE REPUBLICANS TRYING TO BLIND? KIDDING

It was shocking that a man in McConnell's position would make such a childish remark...that if Warren Buffett thinks he should pay more, why doesn't he?  Does he really believe that the issue is solved by one or two people who earn as Buffett did last year, 46,000,000 million dollars for 2010, paying their fair share of tax?  The man insults most intelligent voters and only points out that he is blind to the country's needs he swore to protect; he has been in power too long and totally changed proper priorities..

Since it has been made very clear that the Republicans will not raise taxes and will resist the Obama jobs bill, Obama has made it clear he will take the issue to the voters directly, if he must. 

Read an article on the clash between Obama and the Republicans on what they are trying to obfuscate the issue of catering to the rich by claiming the Democrats are making 'class warfare'.

"When you pick one area of the economy and you say, we're going to tax those people because most people are not those people, that's class warfare," said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on CNN.  Senator Graham, who often makes sense, has his head in the sand if he doesn't see Republican politics are forcing the middle class to become extinct in our country.  Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC calls the whole subject of class warfare a 'bogus debate'., to which I agree. 

Once again, I raise the question of 'treason' if legislators are forced to vote by pledge to Grover Norquist, someone not elected by voters to represent them.  The legislator voted in  has taken an oath to represent the constituency who voted him into office.  He is not voted  to be a proxy for someone outside Congress.

WHO WROTE BOEHNER'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH?

The speech spurred motivation for 'the people's interests', was well-written, and promised something other than what we have heard to date from the man who will not use the word 'compromise'.  For the full text of his speech, click here.

The House was referred to as 'the people's house' over and over again.  I'm not sure for  what that is a euphemism, but it has never before been the way all the politician's in it have treated before. In an Associated Press article By Stephen Hurst, he quotes Obama as saying, he expects Republicans to play to their base.  He adds:  "But I'm pretty confident that they're going to recognize that our job is to govern and make sure that we are delivering jobs for the American people," he added. "My hope is that John Boehner and (Senate GOP leader) Mitch McConnell will realize that there will be plenty of time to campaign for 2012 in 2012."

Kantor and Boehner are well noted in Washington as rivals.  However, at the moment, Boehner is the Speaker.  We can all sit back and watch how many lies or truths are in the acceptance speech and to whom he must first pay homage for getting the votes to become speaker.  I, for one, will be happy to see him stop licking McConnell's shoes and become his own person...as bad as that may be.  I cannot believe he can be any worse than as McConnell's 'yes' man.

OUR OWN TERRORISTS: THE SENATE REPUBLICANS

The Senate would rather see our 'first responders' die than have the top 1% of wealthy have to pay the same proportion of their income as the lower classes who barely have enough income to support themselves and the families.  The fat cats of the Senate who have the power to give themselves raises whenever they wish; who have the best possible health care; who will live off the taxpayers forever even after they leave the Senate, believe that those without jobs (because the Senate has participated in the plan to send all jobs overseas since they can buy stocks and maintain their incomes without having to have an American paycheck as such.

Jon Stewart did a masterful job of satire when he showed Mitch McConnell in tears because his friend Judd Gregg retired from the Senate, showing this video clip to four men who are dying because of their work to help at Ground Zero while the Senate refuse to offer them health care for their subsequent illnesses from it.

One can only guess at the uncaring hearts in Mitch McConnell and those who vote with him to deny basic humanity to our citizens.  It is the humanity shown by Gov Jan Brewer of Nevada who would pay $45,000,000 to the prison system while denying $5,000,000 for families with a member in need of a transplanted organ.  No, Virginia, there isn't a Republican  Santa Claus in the US Senate any longer, only selfish people trying to stay in the luxury provided to them by the taxpayers whom they treat like gnats.

How anti-American can they get?  Why is the public not enraged to the point of action...non violent, but action to spread the truth about what they are doing to our country in the areas of our land where the citizenry hears little truth?  As long as we have people being brainwashed by so much of the media like Fox News,   conservative talk radio, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and so many.that have been spitting bile for so long, they will not be n knowledgeable about the terrorists holding our government hostage. .

MSNBC JOINS FOX IN THEIR FALSE CHATTER

On the Dillon Rattigan Show his afternoon, a panel of people commented on the terrible part of the Health Care Bill which forces people to buy insurance against their will or face a penalty.  Those supporters of no right on the part of the government are missing a major point.  The fight is the same one that faces us about seat belt laws.  Without a seat belt you can be more seriously hurt, requiring more medical care.  Without insurance, HCRA (The Health Care Responsibility Act, enacted in 1977) , comes into effect. forcing hospitals to be reimbursed by counties or local governments, ie. the taxpayers.

While the salaries of the people who have most air coverage are probably higher than average, it is not because of their knowledge or talent.  They should realize that there is no free lunch.  If the government does not pay for the indigent (if one does not qualify as one, credit bureaus will be after them), so in the end, it still all falls to the taxpayers because if they can't afford insurance, they can't afford care usually.

Normally, the people who were on the Rattigan show, are people I have respected.  However, there is, on panels, I believe a tendency to one-upsmanship which confuses some of the other panelists, ending up with unanimous agreement rather than risk egg on their face.  This is why I dislike this type of show..I prefer the media presenters to have done their homework rather than coming on and 'winging it'.

Even if the government didn't underwrite the care, the hospital would have to boost charges to pay so they can continue to operate.  So who pays ?  Once again, the taxpayers, since few have 100% coverage for all care.
I repeat, folks, there IS NO free lunch.unless you are getting a tax cut for being in the richest 1% of our society at the moment.  I guess that might qualify.  By the way, does anyone know how Mitch McConnell got himself anointed with so much power?

THE FIRST INNING FOR THE LAME DUCK CONGRESS

Today the House agreed to a middle class tax cut continuance.  The Senate, under Mitch M has already announced it will fight any proposals unless the Republicans get the tax cuts extended for the ultra rich.  John Boehner has described on TV that he thinkis the proposal to keep tax cuts for the middle class as a maneuver of chicken crap.  If the rich are only 1 or 2 % of our population, how can this man ever get re-elected?  


Apparently the Republicans plan to filibuster the tax cuts for anyone if they don't get  tax cuts for the rich extended.They are holding the poor people's fate hostage to get more money for greedy people already millionaires and billionaires.

"The president continues to believe that extending middle-class tax cuts is the most important thing we can do for our economy right now and he applauds the House for passing a permanent extension," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said. To read the article by BBC, click here.
