HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Pro-yiayia 1982
Once you become a mother, it is an experience and identity which never leaves you.  The relationship between parent and child is full of feelings of maternal protection, and  child's dependency.  Mutual emotional dependencies persists throughout lives.

Oft said, we can pick our friends buy not our relatives.  If you have been lucky, your mother will be a role model, a good feedback person, and her love will help her child to grow with self-confidence.  We are not all so fortunate because mothers are the products of their own mothers who may not have been prepared for the responsibilities themselves.  Ignorant, political men and women who know nothing of what it takes to raise a mentally healthy, secure  confidant child, healthy and well-nurtured, are preventing mothers' abilities to plan by whom, when and if to have a child.

Ignoring the Constitution which makes a clear demand for separation of church and state,  these hypocritical people who think they are speaking for God, want smaller government when it means taking care of the poor, educating and feeding children, keeping a roof over their heads and warmth enough to stay healthy, are committing the most heinous grievances to our country and the welfare of our citizens.

On this Mother's Day, I can only hope that mothers will unite to save their children, born and unborn, and vote these individuals out of state and federal offices in the next elections..

MOTHER'S DAY MEANS SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO EVERYONE

Like Christmas, Mother's Day 2011 has come and gone.  While some felt it was a good day, others could not bear the wait to get over it. What seems to have been most people's idea of the perfect day?  A Mother' day wherein all her children contacted her by one way or another to let her know what she means to them?  She may still be the same mother, though one who is mourning her own mother taken by the Grim Reaper.

There really are mothers who do not deserve the love and respect of their children.  And we must not forget that even women who did not bear their own children may be 'mothers' to someone else's. We may or not be mothers ourselves, but we certainly had mothers or envied others who seemed to have better ones, more loving, kinder...better,  like all that grass that grows greener on the other side of the fence.

With luck, a mother has gone through the day happily even though the mothers without their parenting partner may not succeed to that level of happiness to know they are loved by spouse and children.  Like everything else in our lives, context is everything in deciding who shall have a day of happiness or sadness.

I can only wish that everyone's was as happy as mine.  Not one element of making the day successful was missed.  May all mothers have such good fortune.

MOTHER'S DAY

Though a few weeks past in the UK, Sunday was is a day dedicated to Mother's here in the USA. It has always been a joy to all the mother's who are remembered by their offspring and a day of utter disappointment and depression for mothers who are forgotten.

For a more complete understanding of Mothering Day to Mother's Day.

So I wish all Mothers a very, happy Mother's Day with all the love that can be sent to them from their children, tiny and adult.
