THE NRA MUST BE STOPPED; IT IS TOO DESTRUCTIVE AND UNREGULATING OF WHAT IT SUPPORTSD

Isn't it time that someone in government with a sense of responsibility rather than fear of the NRA spearheads action against the unregulated and documented guns regarding sales of guns to citizens with no real way of tracing the guns or ammunition used in them.  Despite the squawking of the NRA that there is nothing wrong with out system, the world wide statistics suggest otherwise.    Throughout the world, the only countries with more deaths due to guns are Guatemala, Swaziland, Brazil, Estonia, Panama and Mexico.  he more civilized societies don't appear until much later on the list.  To see for yourself, click here.,

Additionally, they add to the story with this:  "NRA fired up to campaign against Obama as annual meeting kicks off."  Being prepared to kill people (in self defense, of course, as Zimmerman claims to have done to the boy he chased down when ordered by the police to leave him alone; the unarmed boy fighting for his life and screaming for help,)   Read this one here.

Should the theater goers in Aurora been carrying handguns to protect themselves?  The NRA must be stopped from running the country.  They are self-serving and as dangerous to the safety of citizens as Grover Norquist is/was to the economy.

TWO OF A KIND: JEB BUSH AND MITT ROMNEY

Happily, as Jeb Bush endorsed Mitt Romney today, we all got ready to hear him on the roster as VP candidate. Oddly, immediately after, Jeb Bush was on the film taken when he was praising the new law that allows those with guns to take control of their own safety.  I wonder if Gov Bush realizes that he (with this little bit of historic film), sets himself up as a very stupid person by giving out to the public that he would go along with the bill because the NRA were great supporters of his brother's candidacy for president.

Trayvon Martin

Jeb Bush can be credited as being one of many who set up conditions for Trayvon Martin to be massacred in a way that would have been legal had not too many people heard about the farce being perpetrated by the police in Florida covered by the law Jeb Bush happily signed and patted himself on the back for doing so..

One question that can easily be answered with some testing is who screamed for help that night.  It is easy for those who record musicians and for forensic specialists to figure out from the voice patterns just who that person was who called for help.  I believe I would be pretty clear it was the boy without the gun who called for help because Mr. Zimmerman was never in critical danger.

NRA can make lots of things go away but they will not be able to make this crime go away.  While I am not fond of the social media personally, I am grateful for Twitter and FaceBook because the average person need not remain in the dark any longer. People can now speak and even be heard before the distance their voice travels from the soapbox on the Common.

MORE GUNS? WHY?

The NRA and Co. have pushed campaigns to allow concealed-weapons permits on college campuses in 15 states this year and failed in all of them.

There is a NRA - ILA (National Rifle Association- Institute of Legislative Action). They would like to allow people to carry guns in National Parks.

Once the worst parents feared was that their college kid would flunk out or get a girl pregnant. In today's world they just hope that their offspring will get enough of an education to make them self-supporting and that they will be alive to graduate.

Growing up on a suburban farm or 140 acres pre-WWII, my father and brothers had loaded shotguns and 22s (rifles). Their purpose was two-fold, to protect the animals that needed protection, and to shoot a meal. They were never considered toys nor was ammo wasted on target play once a gun was mastered (Usually by owning a b-b gun first to practice with. Visiting A young cousin who visited and was not brought up on the farm was curious and lacking in impulse control. He found a 22 where it had been placed in a closet or wherever, and being unfamiliar with its deadliness, shot it in the house (probably by accident), missing his mother's head by an inch or so.

We deny the under 21 the right to drink alcohol, forcing them to act out by drinking too much and causing deadly automobile accidents as well as arming them to commit crimes and deadly violence. Does any intelligent person believe that these weapons are really to arm a militia in the event of Revolutionary, Civil, Global War or against terrorosts? Wasn't that the intent of our forefathers in granting the right to bear arms? We were still stealing the country from the Indians just a hundred years ago, weren't we? Whom do we need to fight in college?
