POLITICS IS ONLY SURVIVED BY THE HUMOR IT OFFERS

Comedy and satire has become so great a part of politics, that Republican representative,   Rep.John Fleming  wrote on Facebook that Planned Parenthood was engaging in “abortion by the wholesale.” He was unaware of the publication of The Onion as a satirical news outlet. He read an article titled, “Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex.” not knowing it wasn't real.

MSNBC plays more Bill Maher, Jon Stewart,Stephen Colbert. Saturday Night Live, and some of the late night comedians than I usually get to see on a regular basis.  This Week with George Stephanopoulos usually has a bit of  the Sunday Funnies taken from the same sources.

Recently, About.com listed the top 10 political comedians in their view.  If you haven't seen them, you should look for them now.  There has to be something to laugh about in this election!.  Click here for the article.

There are many places for daily humor.  Two favorites are: The Onion
Another, written by Andy Borowitz can be subscribed to for free and offers many good belly laughs to kick in your endorphins as long as you bring you sense of humor to the Internet.

NEWS MADE PALATABLE

America's News has been rather depressing lately...actually lately refers to many years...so I thought a pleasant change would be found in the British newspaper, The Daily Mash.  It is refreshing to have a website that lists all the feature sections to save the reader browsing tine, generally considered a waste of time.  It show HOME, NEWS,SPORT, POLITICS, OPINION, AGONY AUNT, HOROSCOPES, SHOPPING AND HUMPING.  It bears a scent similar to the American publication, The Onion.

So. no longer do people have to put up with Fox Noise, MSNBeSeeing. and Sea of NN and the likes.  The news in these two papers is deeper, more carefully thought out, and definitely more positively received.  Do have a look throughout both of these fine purveyors of what is really going on in the world today.  See things through eyes that smile.

SATIRE LIVES IN LOTS OF PLACES

Life would be very dull if there were not humor and satire in it. The Onion is a wonderful medium for providing us with lots of laughs. Reason Magazine recently did an interview with an Onion Staffer.

The Onion Atlas gives a very amusing picture of the world. Be sure to click on the green onion icons.

You will find many examples of extremely insightful observations, as long as your sense of humor remains intact.

The short video is an example of what you can enjoy on the Internet if you will only take the time to look! Reason.tv is interesting, a well...usually straight, not satirical as The Onion. Check it out.
