STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

Madison, Wisconsin: for well over twenty days, citizens have kept their non-violent march on.  Rather than fewer, more people are coming out and Scott Walker, 'gov' that is, is getting less and less popular.  His ratings have apparently really tumbled.

It is a wonderful testimonial to what little is left of our democracy that there has been a minimum of violence though Walker in his 'phone call with David Koch' let it be known he had considered peppering the marchers with troublemakers.  While I have little respect for Governor Walker's actions, it is commendable that he chickened out and decided not to do that.

WASHINGTON — "The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by the University of Wisconsin at Madison of a federal appeals court ruling that could require many public colleges and universities to permit the use of student fee money to pay for explicitly religious activities, including those involving prayer.   A coalition of higher education groups backed Madison in the case and urged the Supreme Court to take the case, arguing without success that the lower court's decision intruded on reasonable university rules designed to protect the separation of church and state. By rejecting the appeal, the Supreme Court does not endorse the lower court's ruling, but ensures that it remains in effect in the states covered by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit — Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin."  Click here for entire article

When will the religious right learn they do not control the country and stop flaunting their hypocrisy about following the Constitution while ignoring separation of church and state?

ANONYMOUS HACKERS: NON-VIOLENT STRIKING BACK THOUGH NON-HUMAN CASUALTIES ARE SEVERE

Keeping a relatively low profile to the world at large, though not to governments observers and whistle blowers, a group of hackers of all ages, walks of life, and nationalities, decided to become a leaderless group with a purpose to do what they consider the right thing to make the world a better place.   This is not a new group but has been forming for nearly eight years, I believe.

You can read what Wikipedia says by clicking here. The group has also used the name 4chan.  It makes clear that people realize that the government can not right all the ills of the world but that people can certainly have great impact towards that end.  It does not take tanks and guns and death.  Anonymous gave a press release to help define the group.  Click here for the video.

Today the BBC had an article on a supposed attack by Anonymous on the Westboro Baptist Church whose leaders have been forbidden to enter the UK.  It has been declared a hoax.  A second article on BBC about an attack on HBGary can be read in full here.  The group is on a mission to destroy the Church of Scientology and you can watch the video regarding that here.

This group grasps my interest atg this time when  the world is seeing so manyh people becoming activists and marching in protests.  Governments who shoot unarmed citizens spell out the clear reason that the march is taking place in the first place, the total disregard for human life by their aujtocratic leaders.

This group bears following closely.  There will be every effort to shut them down because we are deluded to think we have a right to free speech but it isn't working that way in America any more at all.  Nor is their privacy.  The right to not be searched without cause was also lost with out last Administration if not before.

IT IS HIGH TIME THE POPULACE STARTED ACTION FOR WHAT THEY WANT

Since Obama was elected, people have been looking to him to fix the problems and listening to the Republicans tear him down though they are the ones who are preventing him at every turn because they want him to fail.  I'm sorry that it took Egyptians to mobilize protesters who saw the strength in non-violent masses.

Tomorrow the National Teapartiers plan to come from Virginia to come to protest the protesters, it would seem.  It is unlikely they will be there to be supportive.  It is heart warming to see the support that is being given them by many groups.

MSNBC's Ed Schultz has been on site and been wonderful in interviewing people.  While other networks avoided coverage, he has  been there for several evenings.  He has been asking people why they are there.  Even students are there top support their teachers.  They are municipal workers.  Governor Walker is clearly not trying to balance the budget, it is to 'bust' unions.  The fan has finally been hit with the lies the Republicans have swallowed from the corporate money and the upper class in our two-class system.  We have no more middle class and it is a disgrace to our America.

Watch this carefully.  This is not just a Wisconsin issue, it is a United States issue and other states will follow.  Watch closely.
