SPECULATION REIGNS

Everyone speculates, but there are more who are now read and heard.  Even Al Jazeera talks about the spectacle of Democracy in the US.  Republicans are busy trying to find a way to stop anyone from voting who might vote for Obama instead of Romney.  I heard a call the other day for Eric holder to be impeached though I never heard the why of it

The world is in chaos.  Historians can contradict that it is worse than ever as they cite more violence and terrorism in the past.  Quite likely so but sensibilities were better prepared for those conditions in the past.  Romans could see men killed by lions as though it were one of today's movies (which it has become in our era).  We punish more for hurting animals today than we punish for cruelties of man to man.

Is the world really worse today? We'll never know as we have not lived in times gone by.  We only know the, perhaps, romanticized and edited versions that have come to us over time through the eyes of the authors.  I worry about the poor losers who try to win with lies and cheats, total distortions, and using the 'tool' of blaming others for the faults you possess within yourself.  If people though that Reagan was a great actor, have they watched Romney lately?.  Once again, I'm turned away from religion when I can watch this man who tithes thousand (if not millions) to his church and can and can open his mouth to millions of people and mouth the most ridiculous lies about his opponents, Obama, let alone his Republican opponents as well. More impressive is his ability to do it with fire in his eye and a straight face, as though he believes what he is saying.

Since most voters tend to listen to their own party, the people who should hear the truth are unlikely to listen to her nor believe it because of all the con artist strategists out there telling the candidates what to say.

Alas, I've already counted many out there who will negate my vote in milliseconds of its being cast.  Nevertheless I will vote and hope for the best, that we cannot live in a totally dumbed down society.  Can We?

VOTERS: BE CAREFUL FOR WHOM YOU WISH

The Republican presidential candidates are looking and acting as un-presidentially as anyone could imagine.  BBC News had a headline: Republican rivals' race gets ugly.
This is somewhat amusing as it has been ugly all along.

The debate circus will continue with the next one this evening. The comedians, who can say what most people think but don't feel comfortable speaking and are delightfully verbal. Many are picked up by MSNBC evening political shows

Al Jazeera writes that US politicians are getting richer despite the recession.  Cliff Schecter writes the question as to whether the XX factor (gender issue) is what forced Michele Bachmann's backers to drop.   It is, perhaps an interesting question as we are seeing so much misogyny in our country today from politicians, but we need also to make the candidate, herself, responsible for presenting as incompetent presidential  material by her many gaffes and her positions that would put us back several years.  She would undo everything Obama has achieved and says she would waterboard detainees (found to be torture and unacceptable by the Geneva convention..

Without question, all candidates make promises that are impossible for them to achieve but are bought by the naive as appealing. The candidates are acting like the children in  Lord of the Flies.  None of them seem to understand the Constitution nor what the majority of American people want and need.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I SAW OR HEARD FROM AMERICAN MEDIA

According to Al Jazeera:  "About 28,500 US troops are stationed in South Korea, and crimes involving them have caused anti-American sentiments among many South Koreans.

In 2002, the acquittals of two American soldiers whose armoured vehicle ran over and killed two South Korean schoolgirls during training prompted massive nationwide protests against the US military presence in the country.
Tuesday's sentencing is the longest prison term for an American soldier stationed in South Korea since 1993, when a US soldier was sentenced to life in prison for murdering a South Korean bar employee, according to the foreign ministry.
His life sentence was later reduced to 15 years, and the soldier was eventually released in 2006."
I
t said further:  "The 21-year-old soldier entered a low-budget dorm-style room early on September 24 and sexually assaulted and tormented the victim, threatening her with a pair of scissors.
He then robbed her of 5,000 won ($4.50) before running away, said the court in the city of Uijeongbu, north of Seoul"

While it can be understood that young, healthy men may long for sex, it is not acceptable to treat a country as though we are barbarian occupiers. This behavior rarely makes it to the general public in the US who would like to have us all think that ALL our fighting men are well-behaved, until another country begins to tell the world as it has about Afghanistan and Iraq, how some behave to what should be the shame of the rest of us as Americans.

Respect for all citizens hosting our troops should be taught and regulated with a very heavy hand.

MORE DANGEROUS HACKERS

According to Al Jazeera, "US drones have been infected by a logging virus. The infection could allow hackers to access intelligence gathered by the unmanned aerial vehicles.

Analysts say that the keystroke logging virus, in theory, could allow hackers to monitor activities of drone operators.

Wired magazine, which broke the story on Friday, said the problem was first detected nearly two weeks ago by the US military's Host-Based Security System, but there were no confirmed incidents of classified information being lost or sent to an outside source.

Military network security specialists said it remained unclear whether the virus was intentional and how far it had spread, but they were certain it had infected Creech's classified and unclassified machines.
The virus has also resisted multiple efforts to remove it from the base's computer systems.
"We keep wiping it off, and it keeps coming back," a source familiar with the network infection told the magazine.
As a precautionary measure, military drone units at other US Air Force bases have been instructed to stop using them."

Hackers have mastered their craft with remarkable creativity.  For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  (Newton's Third Law).  A force is a push or a pull upon an object that results from its interaction with another object. Forces result from interactions!
The push and pull is the 'I get in - you push me out' and so it has been going on with the good guys vs the bad guys in our world.

The more population in the world, the more devious minds plot against the rest of us.
