Political candidates in today's campaigns are really showing either their
hypocrisy or stupidity. That Trump still wants to see Obama's birth certificate and refuses to believe that the Governor of Hawaii remembers when he was born. His belief that the governor couldn't possibly remember a birth 50 years ago refuses to believe his parent(s) were friends.
So that makes me ask if he really believes he has a chance to be chosen as a Republican candidate or run as an Independent. We are led to believe some people run, knowing they won't be elected, because of the money it brings in. That would not seem to be the most likely reason for Trump, and publicity would not seem something of which he needs more.
He falsely accuses of Obama spending millions of dollars fighting legal suits challenging his citizenship, when in fact, others have paid legal fees for filing their frivolous suits over his questioning the legitimacy of hi8s being an American. Or, like the Koch brothers, is he acting in the interests of Wall St. and making sure as much money stays with the rich while keeping the poorer getting even poorer.
For a long time I have wondered whether there is a conspiracy or I have just watched a lot of people wanting to declare Obama not a real president and, actually, only proving their own stupidity.

A LITTLE INFO ON PTSD
Recently I came across an article in Science Daily on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Serotonin System Influences Vulnerability and Treatment. One factor that appears to contribute to the heritable vulnerability to PTSD is a variation in the gene that codes for the serotonin transporter, also known as the serotonin uptake site. Serotonin is one of the four major neurotransmitters that singly or in combination are targeted by pharmacology research. Prozac was one of the early drugs to prevent serotonin re-uptake by the body, thus disallowing the benefit of the 'calming' chemical your body has produced.
Listed among anxiety disorders, PTSD may or may not be more prevalent than in the past, but it is now more easily diagnosed. Research has found brain changes in severe cases of long term abuse.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Approximately 7.7 million American adults age 18 and older, or about 3.5 percent of people in this age group in a given year, have PTSD.1, 2
- PTSD can develop at any age, including childhood, but research shows that the median age of onset is 23 years.5
- About 19 percent of Vietnam veterans experienced PTSD at some point after the war.13 The disorder also frequently occurs after violent personal assaults such as rape, mugging, or domestic violence; terrorism; natural or human-caused disasters; and accidents.

PSYCHOLOGY 101: DENIAL AND PROJECTION
Denial by the birthers (mostly with Republicans doing the talking) might do themselves a favor and discuss their behaviors with someone who knows them and can give them some feedback...like a good psychiatrist.
Racism Is the Prime Cause for Debunked Obama Birth Certificate Conspiracy Theory By Liliana Segura, AlterNet. Posted July 28, 2009. This is a well written article explaining the dynamics behind some of the present, unbelievable to most of us, hateful and derogatory words coming form the Republican side of politics.
While I don't have video to demonstrate, Rush Limbaugh has been stating, regularly, recently on his show that Obama is a very angry man. While he has every right to be one, I do not find him disproportionately so in any of his actions or speeches. However I would hardly call Limbaugh a man without hatred...and it doesn't take watching and looking too deeply to notice his targets of hatred. This man, dear readers, is a living demonstration of projection..so you can just watch one of his shows and skip the module explaining it in your psychology class on emotional defenses.
