It really says something important about people who take the term 'free speech' literally with no common sense about repercussions and with bad judgment. For a general who has been taught loyalty first to his country, not to recognize the elected President with respect when speaking to the media, it reflects a man with little conscience, a bit ofmegalomania,  During WW II. it was very clear that loyalty to the country and President came before anything else.  Assumptions and presumptions are critical in keeping some respect for the United States alive in other countries.  GW Bush had pretty much destroyed any positive views if America and Americans.

The schools used to teach children the importance of their country, its leaders, respect of the flag and  service to their country.  Either the media didn't have the amount of dirt our current politicians are giving us or the most negative lies of the opposition party never became flaunted on TV (the non-existent in US households) nor were oppositions as dirty.  Politicians have always made false promises and the public has always been too lazy to check them out properly.  Political polls didn't ask questions in such a way as to force the answer to come in favor of the party du jour.  Women like Palin, Bachmann, Angle, and a few others like them were not known for their looks or lack of media coverage without TV.

If your presidential candidate didn't make the cut, you backed the man who did. (it had  always been a man until recently).Today, we have few reporters of researched facts but many opinions by those claiming to be journalists based on their opinions and guesses.  Meanwhile we are constantly hearing about the militias out there, waiting to take back their government....from whom, you may ask, since they will fight other Americans who feel it is their country, too.  This is treason.  Will someone act to stifle it?  How will that be done?

IS ALL SPEECH FREE? NO, IT IS NOT!

Opinions are free. Plotting to overthrow the government, as well as I recall, gets capital punishment. It seems to me that many don't realize they are crossing a very serious line. I can't help but wonder who is minding the store on this. Is no one paying attention who is in a position to legally put a stop to this treasonous oratory?

Actually it may be wise for the non-Republicans to let the Republican party continue on its road to self-destruction as it seems the direction it is currently headed. But I can't help wonder what it says about the citizen's who feel differently. If not legally prohibited, it is certainly morally prohibited to neglect to warn authorities if someone is threatening suicide. Limbaugh is not making a threat to personally take action to cause Obama to fail. However, Michelle Bachman is urging people to take up arms against the government and win it back for the 'people'. Does the 'people' in that context mean those few who think as she does? If that is the case, isn't the way it is usually done is to debate, work towards speaking out then coming up with new and better ideas shared? How can a party who allowed our Constitution to be ignored for eight years, with no solutions to prevent the resulting chaos, presume to be critical of the new broom properly chosen by a democratic process and majority that IS offering new ideas and changes?

Apparently these vicious political critics forget that someone is filming and saving what they say, bringing it out for entertainment after the politician denies ever having said the 'whatever.' The database used for instant retrieval even from speeches made many years ago is wondrous. The snake oil salesman can no longer take your money and run off to a town where you can't find him.

WHAT MESSAGE ARE THE CONSERVATIVES SENDING THIS TIME?

It is painful to see the total disrespect being shown for this overwhelmingly-chosen president. What happened to youngsters aspiring to the level of President, hearing early on the message that many parents are also giving them that it takes hard work to be successful, that in order to have job doors open one must be educated?

What kind of tempest in a teapot are these 'birther-teabaggers' stirring with seeming immunity? Everyone is entitled to feel rage, disappointment, anxiety and lots of other emotions but the are not entitled to act on them in a manner that works by playing on the negative emotions of others and ultimately hurting the possible role model that a President can be to children.

As it should, the White House is defending the President's speech to students. We, as citizens, should also be raising our voices against those who deny a democratic process to progress. Obama was elected by a majority. There should be no doubt that he is legally the President except in the minds of fools who allow themselves to either be brainwashed or are evil enough to look for any excuse to make this President fail with no thought to the damage it does to US citizens and country as a whole.

Without the threat that none of us, who don't believe them, will get into Heaven (to make us all tow the line as sheep), the few who are without ability to see consequences beyond their single minded course to destroy Obama are actually planning the overthrow of the country and, last I heard, that is called treason and should not be dealt with lightly. Why is no action being taken against those who dare endanger the life of the President by bringing loaded guns with them to town Hall meetings where he is present. If someone were to overpower one of them and take a weapon to harm the President, who will be held responsible for not having taken action on the threat?

What is happening to our country? Why does the media focus on the deviants and present them as sane and reasonable individuals?
