IS KARL ROVE, MASTER MANIPULATOR, FAILING THIS TIME?

Karl Rove had had a book written about him during Bush's presidency, as Bush's Brain.  That didn't come as a surprise because the lack of substance in Bush was quickly apparent in his oral output and all the decisions that were bad for the economy and the country that he was talked into supporting.  His goal has never been made clear to me other than the power he held and the company he kept.  Clearly, Mr. Rove is not for the middle class but sustained by very large dollars which he has been able to wrest for those willing to 'invest' in his vision of the US 'future government'.  He has set up the Super PACs though he still is not getting the results he wants.

It is strange to hear just who has really been running the country behind the scenes on so many aspects.  We have heard much about the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson, Grover Norquist, and some others.  0Naive people think that Obama is in control of whatever should, does or does not happen.  That is so far from the truth.  Apparently the average person is totally out of the sphere of the real powers that make decisions. That makes most voters totally unaware of exactly what they really get when they vote. 

Please do not waste your vote for more of the years when people are lied to and left powerless.  Vote for Obama,,,he may not be perfect but he is the best of the choices available to us with his goal to make a better America for all and a level playing field.

REPUBLICANS TRUMPED AGAIN

While Karl Rove has never been an idol of mine, it is odd to see Donald Trump trying to replace him and seemingly succeeding as manipulating the elections..  Today's Republican race betrays the flimsiness of criteria the majority of voters use to select their candidates.  The election process is currently being compared to a circus, not unjustly.  Nevertheless there is no denial that Rove has been evilly successful in running politics for too many years.

Now it seems that Donald Trump is trying to take over.  Trump and he plan to go to an inner city school and take 10 kids as 'apprenti'....is the new Republican jobs program. This is not to suggest that any of his actions of staying front and center in public view  is for personal gain or to promote his show or book.

I have decided that (in my own simplistic way) there is little choice to be made in 2012.  Question #1 to be asked is:  Would McCain have made a better President than Obama?.  The answer is unquestionably a resounding NO.  McCain has been a tired old man who seems dissatisfied with even his own party.  Question #2 is:  Would any of the current candidates be better equipped to be President than Obama?  Once again, whether you think Obama has done a good job or not, he is brighter, better trained and fulfills more requirements for handling the country (especially after four years of on-the-job-training) than any of the current Republican candidates. 

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, OR WORSE, CREATE

Karl Rove created Rick Perry, the politician who has moved forward from his creator and like so many, think his ideas are as good as the master.  Perry has strange and controversial opinions on almost everything.  He does not believe in evolution and still clings to the outdated definition that it is still a theory and thus not worth believing.  Last year he was talking reason when he was calling for Texans to consider seceding from the United States.  There is an article in the Washington Post about whether Perry will have a Karl Rove problem.  One might ask whether Perry might also have a Rove problem.

Michele Bachmann believes herself to be in the religious womb and thus that God is backing her.  There are jokes about the subtle ways God goes about helping people...mainly that he might put opportunity in their path but that they must help themselves.  One wonders about some of her vitriolic opinions and biases and just how Christian they really are.

There are other candidates like the governor of Ohio and Indiana who laid some pretty drastic laws and actions down over which they are having second thoughts as people are drowning them with petition signatures  And, As the World Turns, life in America has become an every day soap opera.

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR DAYS

Sarah Palin has a book, followed by a movie, about her called UNDEFEATED.  It is not clear what that has to do with Palin since she was defeated in the last presidential election.  Nevertheless, she seems to pop up wherever there is likely to be some publicity for her, regardless about whomever the area is about.  She was NOT in Iowa to steal Bachmann's thunder.  It was just TOTALLY a coincidence that she was there as it was that she was in NH when Romney was campaigning there.

Mark Halpern, usually a highly regarded journalist, called Obama a 'dick'.  Years ago, especially around WW2, no one in their right mind would have stooped so low as to be profane on the air about a sitting president .


The Republicans have gotten pretty bizarre in lock step with Norquist who makes Rove look impotent he is so evil. 

What does Kansas think they are doing with their new regulations on abortion clinics?  Is common sense and adherence to Federal laws really so irrelevant these days?  Regulations requiring reconstruction cannot be done in two days?  Does that surprise us that they think they have found a sneaky way to rid the state totally of abortions?

REPUBLICAN LEADERS NOT TOO HAPPY ABOUT DELAWARE ELECTIONS

If people think one Republican is just like another Republican, they would be very much mistaken. In Delaware Christine O'Donnell is not seen as preferred candidate nor felt that she has a better chance of winning the election than her opponent.  If you are having difficulties understanding the platform on which the
Teapartiers stand, you are not alone.  The contradictions are mind boggling.  While fighting to make the government less intrusive and smaller in our lives, Christine O'Donnell wants the government to force females as young as 13, who are raped by strangers or incestuously, to bear the children as a result of those rapes. 

Christine O'Donnell seems, by all I have searched on her, to violate the Constitution with her goals.  Wikipedia on O'Donnell says: "O'Donnell also served as a spokesperson for Concerned Women for America, a Conservative Christian political action group which seeks to apply biblical principles to issues of public policy."  I do not believe our Constitution has yet been amended to allow Christianity to rule the country.

Karl Rove finally was forced by the party to endorse O'Donnell but it doesn't erase his previous statements that she was an embarrassment to the party and was not likely to win.  It seems to me that  as long as the Teapartiers seemed 'against' the Democrats, it was missed that they were associated as being with' Republicans.  Voters in Arizona should also be advised that Sharron Angle is a disciple of Phyllis Schlafly.  When did we lose our sanity and our country?

  

IMMUNITY FROM TESTIFYING

Karl Rove has been subpoenaed again. His lawyer suggests he will show up this time unless they can pull something out of the hat from Bush. The stench of the Bush administration will emit its malodorous residue for a very long time, it would seem. While no one wants to see the legislative branch of government caught up in a similar waste of time and opportunity as the Republicans did chasing after Clinton, not for the good of the country but rage that they had lost total control. The fear is that Bush and company will get away scot free.

Bush signed something before he left office, trying to give everyone, who had served in the White House with him, a life immunity from testifying, due to Bush's Executive privilege. This for the man who was known as Bush's Brain, by many who knew that Bush had been coolly marketed to a susceptible public, ready to believe what they wanted to hear about this man who had never achieved real success in anything he did before in his life and was completely unfit or prepared the be President of the United States.

Immunity from prosecution should no longer be handed to families of ambassadors from other countries and their family members and staff. Right now it has become a bad joke to our legal system that they can illegally park and even commit murder with utter immunity. Would that we all had a place where we could claim immunity for any of our actions, but that route is not open to many of us....nor should be.

OTHERS ON PALIN

It amuses me to see how many of my friends still have to read their daily newspapers over coffee. I don't mean to sound condescending, it is not a criticism of my friends but of newspapers. It pleases me to find new sources for more interesting perspective. YouTube has filled that gap quite nicely. Here are a few. Bill Maher, who has always thought outside the box though he can at times be so narcissistic and even cruel, is still challenging to watch.

Has anyone other than I noticed the similarity of face between McCain and Charlie Chaplin without makeup in his later years?

Both have the ability to make up illusions that touch people. Both are funny when acting. Both are old in these pictures.
Both had and spent lots of money.

Well, tomorrow we will see what happens when Palin must show the public in the lower 48 states, as well as the rest of the world just how ready-or-not she is should she become President if she is elected Vice president and the necessity arises! May we live to survive yet another election (necessary with Karl Rove at the evil helm now), to mention only one of the 'bad guys'.
